US (Channel TT): Six people have died in the Seattle area of Washington State in the deadly coronavirus, local health officials said. On Monday, they said, authorities are ready for more infections with increased testing capacity. They said America was going to fall into a big swing.
Health Officers of Seattle and King County Public Health Agency Dr. Jeff Duchin said the death toll in Washington State was higher than the previous two.
Duchin said at a news conference that only 8 out of 14 patients under him suffered corona outbreaks at a nursing home in Kirkland of Seattle downtown. Out of which 4 died.
Duchin said at least 4 out of the total 6 dead are elderly. They already had both health complications and the impact of the virus. He said he was not proposing to close schools or cancel any events in the County.
Meanwhile, at a White House briefing, Vice President Mike Pence said Americans are less at risk in Corona.
On the other hand, in a meeting with executives of the pharmaceutical organization, President Donald Trump suggested Corona affected countries to be more stringent to impose restrictions on travel.
The country's Food and Drug Administration Commissioner Stephen Hahn said he expects around 1 million coronavirus tests to be completed by the end of this week.
The total number of coronavirus patients detected by public health department officials in Washington State is 18. However, it is the highest of any state. Officials said 14 patients in King County, as well as 4 residents in nearby Snohomish County, tested positive for the virus.
"We fear that the number of corona patients will increase in the days ahead," she said. So we are looking at the situation very seriously.
However, he said most of the patients have mild to moderate symptoms. Because of this, they do not need hospitalization.
In addition to the confirmed patient, about 29 potential case results are awaiting in King County. So the number of victims can increase there. About 200 samples are being tested daily. Health officials say they will soon raise the sample test to 1,000.
Until Sunday, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said the number of confirmed and presumptive patients with coronavirus in the United States has risen to 91. Many of them are passengers on the Diamond Princess Cruise ship that came to the United States.
Although different estimated reports of all states have mentioned the number of coronas, the CDC has not yet made any formal announcement. The CDC will confirm the tests sent from the state through its own diagnostics. So far in nine states, including California and New York, coronary disease has been confirmed, based on estimates.
